ARLINGTON, Va. —National Rural Electric Cooperative Association CEO Jim Matheson and the Touchstone Energy board of directors today announced the hiring of Lynn Moore as executive director of Touchstone Energy Cooperatives.
In this role, Moore will lead Touchstone Energy, an NRECA-affiliated organization dedicated to helping more than 740 electric cooperatives better engage and serve their members.
“Lynn’s knowledge of the membership and strong relationships with cooperative leaders make her an ideal leader for Touchstone Energy and an excellent addition to NRECA’s leadership team,” said Matheson.
“While we knew Lynn Moore had deep knowledge of the cooperative industry and passion for the program, we discovered that she also has a strong strategic vision for the future of Touchstone Energy,” said Roger Meader, CEO at Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative in Port Orford, Oregon and president of the Touchstone Energy board of directors.
Moore is the president of Moore Innovative Solutions, an Indianapolis firm specializing in employee development and training. She succeeds Mary McLaury, who is retiring.
Moore, who will join Touchstone Energy on May 15, is an experienced cooperative leader. She has developed and facilitated Touchstone Energy’s Service Excellence and Road to Member Engagement educational programs and is a facilitator for the Strategy Execution System, a strategic planning tool for electric cooperatives.
Moore served as the director of member relations and development for Indiana Electric Cooperatives from 2000 to 2010.
“It has been a privilege to work in our cooperative network for nearly 18 years, and I am excited to lead the brand that provides invaluable national partnerships, business development initiatives and resources to help co-ops better engage and serve their members,“ said Moore.
Touchstone Energy is a national network of more than 740 electric cooperatives that provides resources and leverages partnerships to help member cooperatives and their employees better engage and serve their members.
