SAN DIEGO — At the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) 2017 Annual Meeting, the trade association will be celebrating 75 years of advocacy and service to America’s electric cooperatives.
More than 5,500 locally-elected leaders from co-ops across the nation are expected to gather from February 27 to March 1 at the San Diego Convention Center in order to set NRECA’s policy agenda for the year.
The meeting’s keynote speakers include historian Michael Beschloss and tech entrepreneur Josh Linkner. The broad array of breakout sessions includes the potential impact of the Trump Administration, rate design, rural broadband and cybersecurity.
Concurrent with the annual meeting, from February 26 to March 1, more than 280 exhibitors showcase state-of-the-art technologies, equipment and services at the TechAdvantage 2017 Conference and Expo.
The National Rural Utility Cooperative Finance Corporation and the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative hold their annual meetings in conjunction with the NRECA meeting.
The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association is the national service organization that represents the nation’s more than 900 not-for-profit, consumer-owned electric cooperatives, which provide service to 42 million people in 47 states.
